Why Etch Enhancer?

As the Etch community is full of Etch users just like us, we have been lucky enough to work with and connect with many of you over the last year or so and our first plugin contribution Etch Enhancer is the answer for all of you that asked for these features.

We have included as many valuable and powerful enhancements as possible while keeping the plugin stable and performant, so you can benefit from some of the most requested optimisations and improvements for Etch while the Etch team focus on delivering other high priority items.

How does this fit with Etch’s native development?

Our primary focus is adding requested features that were mentioned by the Etch team as lower priority items or ones not currently on their roadmap.

We only work in coordination with what is best for the Etch ecosystem, the community and deliver tools and improvements that we personally use and test on real websites.

We believe this is a responsible and mutually beneficial approach and leads to a win for everyone short-term and long-term as you get the features you need faster with the expectation that some of them may eventually become native to Etch.

We have been planning and developing these features for months and the majority of what we’ve included in Etch Enhancer wherever possible utilises WordPress and Etch data structures, so it integrates well.

What will you get with Etch Enhancer moving forward?

There are already several other features planned and in development and whenever the Etch team adds more APIs and plugin developer focused capabilities, we will be able to continue to improve what Etch Enhancer can do.

As Etch evolves, we will coordinate with the Etch team's efforts and continue to listen to community feedback to add new enhancements based on your requests as much as possible.

This is just the beginning, we are ready to get started with your next most requested features, we look forward to your feedback and input to make Etch Enhancer even better.
